I'm a bit behind posting my weekly self-portrait. It still counts though as it was taken last Sunday. The week to follow however kept me finishing up my dog walking adventure for one friend and starting a cupcake-making adventure for another, so I didn't get in much 'puter time. Took lots of photos though! Meanwhile, Nigel's ear condition has worsened so tomorrow I have to take him to a specialist. Which is to say, my dog-walking-cupcake-making money will be paying for his cat scan. At least, I hope it covers it. If not, I'm wondering if anyone has attempted a benefit to help pay for medical costs for the care of a dog.
On that note, feel free to visit my husband's etsy site linked below!
Update: Here's a shot just of Kensi.

Kensi is no fan of obedience. If you turn your back for a minute, chances are you'll find her peeking in the neighbor's patio door to catch sight of their two wiener dogs, or two doors down knocking on the front door of Lucy, the boston terrier. Or so the owner tells me. By the time I find her, these two are already running circles around each other in the yard. I'm just glad no dogs live across the street from us because I'm sure Kensi would find it necessary to see what they were up to every few days.

Photos are up from this year's Schwaklakk party! Worst one ever! Mainly because I forgot to bring band-aids this year and blood was drawn. High Noon Saloon opened their doors for us again this year, but we always have to bring extra lights because it is a bar and they simply didn't take soap-carving into consideration when they built the joint. So, the majority of the actual soap photos in the set were taken when we got back home under better lights. That said, I should probably apologize if your soap is not featured. When we clean up, all the work gets mixed up into five shoe boxes with pieces from prior years. I pulled out the cleanest looking ones, but I'm sure I missed some. I know some people take their "art" home too.
The piece above is by yours truly. I hadn't planned ahead this year, so I went with something convenient. Next year, maybe I've carve my knife.

Last Saturday we attended the 2010 International Festival at the Overture Center in Madison. For a short time anyway. We probably should've researched it better in advance instead of hopping from one crowded event to the next. What we did catch was lovely.
Tonight my hubby is out with the "girls" and I'm home with a sinus headache. ha! I seriously didn't think I could handle a noisy club tonight and expect to be all chipper for Schwaklakk tomorrow. I'm not finished getting the music together anyway. Can't drink and handle soap without some carving music, I always say.
